The Brief

Tim Mynett, the husband of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), was seen Tuesday for the first time since Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agents raided the couple's Washington, D.C., home early Monday. He was photographed walking the family dog, a yellow labrador retriever named Teddy, back to the residence.

The raid by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) is believed to be part of an ongoing criminal fraud investigation into Omar's immigration paperwork, according to reports. President Trump has questioned how the couple can afford their home, a four-bedroom, 1,900-square-foot Cape Cod assessed at about $600,000, noting that property records do not list them as owners and that Mynett reportedly earns little income.

In a Truth Social post, Trump raised questions about Omar's reported net worth and alleged "fraudulent activities," referencing her 2024 financial disclosure that initially valued Mynett's businesses at up to $30 million. Omar later dismissed the figure as an accounting discrepancy, and her 2025 disclosure reported no income from his venture capital firm and only $200 to $1,000 from his defunct wine business.

Trump also asked how many people Omar "illegally brought into our Country from Somalia." Omar's office did not immediately respond to The Post's request for comment.
