Aussie woman’s FaceTime call freezes after flashing partner — Apple explains
Based on reporting by New York Post.

The Brief
An Australian woman, identified only as Frankie, 25, said her iPhone automatically paused a FaceTime call with her partner after she exposed her breasts during the call. The call froze and a message appeared on her partner's screen asking, "Are you sure you want to stay on this call?"
and stating the pause was due to potential nudity. Frankie told news.com.au she was "paranoid" and concerned about privacy, saying, "You don't even know what Apple have, what they don't, or what they see."
Apple's support page, cited by news.com.au, states the feature is the Sensitive Content Warning, which uses on-device machine learning to detect nudity, gore, or violence. Apple says the analysis happens on the device, and no visual data is sent to Apple or seen by human moderators.
The feature is optional for adults and can be toggled off in settings under Privacy & Security. For child accounts, a similar feature called Communication Safety can be enabled by parents. Frankie said she will continue the behavior but has asked her partner to turn off the setting on his phone.
