The Brief
BXP's 46-story office tower at 343 Madison Avenue in Manhattan is under construction, having reached podium level, according to a New York Post report by Steve Cuozzo. The $2 billion, KPF-designed project between East 44th and 45th streets has secured a $1.2 billion construction loan, and about half of its 930,000 square feet is already leased to insurance giant Starr and law firm McDermott Will & Schulte.
Rents are reported around $200 per square foot, with completion expected in 2029. The report notes that nearby, SL Green is planning a new tower to replace the old Brooks Brothers store, making the corner busy and noisy for years.
