Conservatives and GOP senators plot fight against Democratic

The name for this one is already half the battle. "Barfare" — it's got that clunky, bureaucratic ring to it, like someone in a strategy memo tried too hard to coin a term. And yet it's accurate. Wednesday's summit in Washington isn't just a griping session for lawyers who feel picked on. It's a response to a very real, very cynical tactic: using state bar complaints to bankrupt and disbar the attorneys who dared to defend Donald Trump. This is how the left fights now. When you can't win in court, you go after the lawyers.

You don't have to like every lawyer who's represented the President to see what's happening here. This is about destroying a person's livelihood because of the client they took on. The legal profession is supposed to have a rule for this: everyone gets a defense. That's not a liberal or conservative principle. It's the whole damn point of the Sixth Amendment. Watching Democrats weaponize grievance committees to punish representation is the kind of thuggery they accuse the right of. Instead, it's just the opening chapter.

We aren't naive. We know the intent is to drain resources and create a chilling effect so deep that no competent lawyer will touch a politically charged case in the next administration. That's the real target: the next Trump, not the current one. So let them hold their summits and plot their strategies.
