Democrat Al Green to force House-wide vote on impeaching Trump

Al Green is back with another impeachment push, and you can almost set your watch by it. Monday’s announcement wasn’t a bombshell so much as a rerun. After years of Democrats treating impeachment like a press release, the idea that the House needs to stop and take a “House-wide vote” on this again feels less like oversight and more like habit.

The problem isn’t that Congress is allergic to accountability. It’s that impeachment has become their favorite substitute for governing. Border a mess? Prices still high? Global crises piling up? Green’s answer is to drag the chamber into another symbolic brawl that everyone already knows the ending to. If Democrats think this helps them with normal voters, they should try listening to normal voters.

Trump was elected to do a job, and people want to see that job done. A forced vote is a fundraising email dressed up as a constitutional moment.
