Democrats ready to derail the Trump train if they win House majority

You have to hand it to the House Democratic leader. He didn't bother with the usual song and dance about “checks and balances” or “oversight responsibilities.” He flat-out said the goal of a Democratic majority is to end the Trump presidency. That’s not a quote from a fringe backbencher. That’s the strategy of the people who would run the whole chamber.

Think about what that means in practice. If the left gets the gavel, every committee hearing, every subpoena, every resolution is aimed at one thing: stopping the agenda Americans just voted for. That’s not governance. It’s a hostage situation dressed up in procedural robes. They are telling us in plain English that their plan is to use impeachment as a do-over because they keep losing at the ballot box.

Meanwhile, where is the president? He’s moving on trade, energy, and the border. Voters see the difference. The more Democrats threaten to derail the train, the more they remind people why they wanted him as the engineer in the first place. The gamble might backfire. Backing a president into a corner tends to make him look like the only adult in Washington.

Republicans should clip this quote and play it on a loop. A vote for Speaker Jeffries is a vote for paralysis and payback. Voters remember what happened last time the left spent two years chasing impeachment instead of fixing potholes. They will do it again, and they will lose again.
