How We See It
Here's the story the Sunday shows decided you didn't need to know: British police arrested five men near RAF Fairford, a base hosting U.S. Air Force units, after three suspicious vehicles rolled toward it. Bomb disposal teams responded, eighty-five homes were evacuated, and President Trump credited close work with British authorities for catching the suspects. A real threat to American personnel. ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN all skipped it. All of them.
Instead, CBS and NBC made time for the Iranian regime. NBC's Kristen Welker interviewed Iran's foreign minister and, after Ambassador Mike Waltz publicly challenged her to ask about the 40,000 protesters machine-gunned in the streets, she didn't. CBS's Margaret Brennan let Iran's president claim the Supreme Leader is in perfect health and gave him a respectful platform Republican officials rarely get. The contrast is damning. One network ignored a plot against a U.S. base to run Iranian PR. Another interviewed the regime's leader and let him spin unanswered.
That's not journalism. That's a preference. The American people see it clearly. The same media class that demands transparency from the right spent Sunday providing messaging for a regime that hangs its own citizens. No wonder trust in these outlets collapsed. If you won't cover the enemy at the gate but you'll roll out the red carpet for the enemy's spokesmen, you don't get to wonder why people stopped listening to you.
