Federal Appeals Court Pulls Another Switcheroo On GOP-Friendly

There is a pattern now. A three-judge panel rules for the GOP on something, maybe a voting law or a Second Amendment case, and then the full appeals court hits the undo button. The latest reversal fits that exact mold. No new evidence. No change in the law. Just a different batch of judges who decided they knew better than the panel that actually heard the case.

That is not how fair courts are supposed to work. The law is not a football that the other team gets to pick up and move every time it goes out of bounds. When the full court steps in, it should be to correct a genuine error, not to manufacture a different outcome because the first one went the wrong way. The fix is in. People see this. The more often it happens, the harder it is to tell them with a straight face that the judiciary is above politics.

We are not naive. We know that judges have views, and the left understands that reality better than we do, which is why they treat every confirmation like war. But there is a difference between having a judicial philosophy and openly shopping for a ruling. Republicans deserve a straight shot at a fair hearing. Every time a court pulls this switcheroo, it feeds the cynicism that too many Americans already feel about every institution in.
