ICE Nabs Another Noncitizen Accused Of Voting

So a green card holder in El Paso allegedly voted in multiple American elections, and now he’s in ICE custody. Ludwig Uriel Espejo-Carrillo isn't just accused of a paperwork error—he’s charged with falsely claiming citizenship on a voter registration form, which is a felony for a reason. The man reportedly voted more than once. That’s not a mix-up at the DMV; that’s a deliberate thumb in the eye of the system.

The left keeps telling us this never happens. They call concerns about election integrity a conspiracy theory, even as we watch federal agents arrest people for doing the exact thing we were told was a myth. The Biden administration spent four years telling border patrol agents to stand down and instructing states not to scrub voter rolls. Now, the Trump administration is cleaning up the mess, one arrest at a time. This is what enforcement looks like when you actually enforce the law.

What’s remarkable is the sheer audacity. You’d think a legal permanent resident would be careful about staying on the right side of the line. Instead, we get a guy who allegedly voted in multiple elections while his citizenship status hung in the balance. You have to wonder if he thought nobody would check, or if the previous administration's lax attitude convinced him the rules were just suggestions. The signal from Washington matters, and the signal used to be that nobody was watching.

The outrage isn’t that ICE arrested him—it’s that it took this long for anyone to care about making the arrest. The Department of Homeland Security's job is to secure the integrity of the immigration system, and voting falsely is about as direct an attack on American sovereignty as you get without wearing a uniform. We are glad to see agents being allowed to do their jobs again. Elections belong to citizens, full stop.
