Democrat Matt Dunlap Wants to Make So-Called 'Gender Affirming

Democrat Matt Dunlap wants to talk about rights. Specifically, the right to free everything, as long as someone else pays for it. Free healthcare, free housing, free food, and now free money for everyone, even if you never lift a finger. It sounds generous until you ask the one question they never answer: who does the work? Who grows the food, builds the houses, and staffs the clinics? Democrats treat "free" like it's a magic word, as if the economy runs on wishes instead of effort.

The absurdity is right there in their own argument. Universal basic income, they say, gives you money from somewhere, even if you do nothing to earn it. That "somewhere" is always a polite way of saying "someone else." The taxpayer. The plumber, the nurse, the truck driver. A right to something for nothing is just a bill sent to someone else. And they know it. That's why they never put it that way.

We are not against generosity. We're against pretending that scarcity doesn't exist. Every dollar the government hands out has to be taxed, borrowed, or printed into inflation. There is no fourth option. Democrats have built an entire platform on ignoring that math, and Matt Dunlap wants to add another layer to it. The bill always comes due. It always does.

Conservatives understand this because we live in the real economy. We know that a free lunch is just a meal someone else paid for. Instead of promising everything to everyone, how about we promise opportunity, hard work, and the dignity of earning your own way? That's a right worth defending..
