This is a man who has spent years streaming sympathetic commentary about America's adversaries and calling law enforcement officers things we won't repeat here, and the DSA's response to a House resolution condemning socialism was to circle the wagons around him personally. That's not a coincidence. That's a tell.

Meanwhile you've got Jon Ossoff and Jared Moskowitz, both Democrats, scrambling to put daylight between themselves and Piker. Good instinct, honestly. But it also shows the party has a Piker problem it can't quite admit out loud. When a resolution simply denouncing socialism becomes a referendum on whether you'll defend a streamer with millions of young viewers who's made a brand out of edgy anti-American takes, and half your caucus runs for the exits while the actual socialist organization doubles down, that's not a messaging hiccup.
