A local reporter asked a straightforward question about public safety, and a member of the DSA's national leadership couldn't give a straight answer. Not "wouldn't." Couldn't. That distinction matters. When you've spent years building an ideology around abolishing police and defunding the systems that actually respond when someone breaks into your house or threatens your kid, the moment someone asks you what you'd do instead, the whole thing falls apart in real time.
