Man charged for allegedly creating antisemitic website with Nazi symbols, violent videos

A guy allegedly builds a website stuffed with Nazi symbols and violent videos aimed at Jewish people, and Australian police move on it after a tip in July. Good. That's not a close call, and it shouldn't be treated like one.

There's a habit in some corners of pretending every hate-speech prosecution is a slippery slope toward jailing people for tweets. This isn't that. Swastikas and violence-glorifying content aimed at intimidating a religious minority is the kind of thing law enforcement exists to stop before it becomes something worse. Australia doesn't have the First Amendment framework we do, and reasonable people can debate where their lines sit generally. But nobody should be squeamish about cheering when a case this ugly actually gets investigated and charged.

What's worth noting is how normal this has become. Antisemitic content online isn't some fringe curiosity anymore, it shows up enough that a national police force has a process for tips like this. That's not a compliment to our era. Whether it's Sydney or St. Louis, the same rot spreads through the same platforms, and the people running those platforms still act shocked every time it surfaces.

We'd rather see charges filed and a case built in public than another round of vague statements about "monitoring the situation." Say what happened, name it as antisemitic, prosecute it. That's the whole job.
