Maryland House OKs congressional map, but it is likely to stall in the Senate
Progressive policy ambitions meet practical realities as Americans weigh costs and consequences.

The Maryland House pushed forward with unusual mid-decade redistricting on Monday at the urging of Democratic Gov. Wes Moore in response to redistricting in other states. But state Senate President Bill Ferguson says the measure doesn’t have enough support to move forward in the Maryland Senate.
Maryland is a state where Democrats outnumber Republicans 7-1 in the state's U.S. House delegation.
