New GOP ad rips Ohio Senate hopeful Sherrod Brown for alleged

It says something that the Senate Leadership Fund didn’t need to twist Sherrod Brown’s record to make this ad land. They found a real person, a 23-year-old woman named Soren Aldaco, who went through so-called gender-affirming care as a minor and now lives with the consequences. She is not a prop. She is the story. And the ad simply lets her tell it while Brown’s own positions hang around his neck.

Brown has been on the wrong side of this from the start. He has voted against protecting minors from these irreversible procedures and has taken money from groups pushing them. The ad is effective for a simple reason: it isn’t an abstract debate about policy. It is a young woman saying, “I was harmed, and my senator helped make it possible.” That lands harder than any statistic ever could.

Ohioans should ask themselves why Brown is so eager to stand with the medical establishment, which profits off confused kids, instead of standing with people like Aldaco who say they were failed by it. The left wants to frame this as compassion. In the real world, compassion is telling a struggling teenager that her body doesn’t need to be surgically altered to be accepted. Brown can call himself whatever he wants, but his record says he’s on the side of the clinics, not the kids. The ad is worth watching, and so is the vote that follows.
