Red state Dem faces fury for suggesting illegal aliens should

Hallie Shoffner said the quiet part out loud. She told Arkansas farmers she would trade five American workers for one illegal immigrant. That is not a campaign stumble. It is a cold, honest statement of what the open-borders crowd actually thinks about working-class people. Five Americans for one illegal alien. Read that again. If you are a citizen looking for a job, she just ranked you below someone who broke the law to be here.

Cotton's campaign jumped on it, and rightly so. The senator has spent years showing how cheap-labor policies hurt American wages. Shoffner's comment is the perfect illustration. Farmers want workers, yes. But the reason they want illegal immigrants is that they can pay them less, in the dark, with no questions asked. That is not about a labor shortage. It is about a wage shortage. She was telling the farmers that their business comes before the livelihoods of the people she wants to represent.

Here is the part the left will not admit. The same politicians who wave the "labor rights" flag will gladly trade five American citizens for one undocumented worker if it keeps a donor happy.
