Trump announces White House ban against three media outlets

Here’s the thing they won’t tell you on those channels: the government isn’t required to hand a megaphone to people who spend every waking hour calling the man a fascist. The president isn’t banning journalists. He’s telling three specific organizations that they’ve burned the bridge, and the meltdown over it is telling.

Let’s remember what these outlets actually do. CNN ran years of coverage that treated Trump’s 2016 win as a national emergency. Politico built a whole brand on insider gossip while missing every story that mattered about the people who actually vote. And MS NOW isn't news, it’s a Democratic Party super PAC with a camera. None of them are interested in informing the public. They’re interested in shaping opinion, and they’ve been caught doing it so often that even their own viewers don’t trust them. If you lose the trust of the president and half the country, the White House press corps isn't owed a front-row seat.

This is also a smart move for the administration. The old media gatekeepers are losing their monopoly, and Trump knows it.
